My professional experience is extensive. I have around two years of first and second level support, covering MS Office, Lotus suite, Lotus Notes, Windows 95, NT4, DOS, operating systems and 386, 486, Pentium and Cyrix based hardware configurations from computer manufacturers such as Dell, Compaq, IBM, Toshiba and Micron. I've installed, configured, and supported many different types of devices, as listed below:

Mother boards, Laptops, Sound Cards, Modems, Telephony Modems, Digital Cameras, Joysticks, SCSI cards and SCSI devices, Scanners, Video cards, 3D add-on cards (3Dfx), Network cards, Cable Modems, Hard Drives, CD-ROMs and Burners, ZIP drives, JAZZ Drives and many kinds of printers, including the 35-inch wide poster printers I worked with at Laser Master Inc., all of which were either PnP or Non-PnP configurable.

I'm accustomed to troubleshooting any kind of problem a user (not developer) may run into. Through my experiences I've gained a strong ability to resolve issues that might take another person much longer. I am able to recognize many common issues (bugs) that a user may run into and often propose a resolution or at least a work-around until a resolution can be found.

My years of troubleshooting have also developed my research abilities and knowledge of various resources on the internet and how to utilize them. There is a plethora of technical information on the internet, but only experience in searching for it will help a person find it in a reasonable ammount of time.

I maintain my own technical knowledge base of trouble shooting techniques as well as frequently used Microsoft technical documents and links to many technical resources. Using my own web site allows me to maximize my effectiveness while coping with the changing environments I've been in. This form of "taking notes" also is useful when trying to share my knowledge with co-workers.
